A TALE OF TWO RIVERS
This journey leads you along two beautiful German rivers – Neckar and Rhine. While the romantic Upper Middle Rhine region is world-famous and UNESCO-listed, the Neckar Valley is still a well kept secret. It's not less fascinating, though: like River Rhine it features towering cliffs, steep vineyards, castles perched on every hilltop, and pretty villages lining the river banks.
"Father Rhine" is associated with myths like the Nibelungs and the Loreley, with some of the best preserved medieval castles of Germany and with traditional towns like Rüdesheim and Boppard, River Neckar boasts Marbach, picturesque birthplace of writer Friedrich Schiller, the idyllic spa town of Bad Wimpfen and the city of romanticism, Heidelberg. Which will be your favorite? Come and decide for yourself!
For the duration of the tour you will live and travel on board MS Patria, cycling is on paths without any gradients of note, asphalted or paved.
